VCam 5.1.2: Easier Team Management

VCam 5.1.2 makes it easier for workspace owners and administrators to manage their teams. The updated Dashboard gives you more intuitive access controls, feedback on invitations and a refreshed view of requests to join.

VCam 5.1.2 was released on October 6, 2026, for Windows and Mac. It also includes everyday bug fixes for app startup, saved backgrounds and name tags. Read the full VCam 5.1.2 release notes.


Make day-to-day team management easier

The VCam Workspace Dashboard brings team membership and access management together. You can review members, manage the roles available to you, send invitations and handle requests to join your workspace.

Management actions follow your workspace role:


  • Owners: Retain control over higher-level roles.

  • Admins and Managers: Can manage Member and Machine accounts, but cannot change Owner, Admin or Manager accounts.


This lets teams share day-to-day administration while owners retain control over higher-level access.

Requests to join now appear correctly in the Dashboard. Reopening the Requests list refreshes pending requests, so you can review the current list.

Know what happened to an invitation

The Dashboard now makes it easier to see when an invitation is already pending, a person is already a member, or the workspace has reached its membership limit.


  • Pending invitation: An invitation for the same role is identified, with an explicit resend option where available. Submitting a duplicate does not automatically send another invitation.

  • Different role: The Dashboard identifies a role conflict so you can review it before taking further action.

  • Workspace full: Capacity feedback explains that the owner, existing members and outstanding invitations count toward the workspace membership limit.


This release also fixes invitations being sent to a previously active workspace during new-workspace setup. Setup invitations now target the workspace you are creating.


A more reliable everyday experience

VCam 5.1.2 also includes fixes for everyday app use:


  • App startup: Fixed an initialization issue that could prevent VCam from opening correctly.

  • Saved backgrounds: Fixed compatibility with older background settings that could prevent an existing background from being updated.

  • Name tags: Fixed issues where Dashboard changes did not appear in VCam and app edits could be lost after a restart.

Open your VCam Dashboard to review members, invitations and requests to join. To get the app fixes, download the latest VCam app for Windows or Mac. An MSI installer is also available for managed Windows deployments.
